tribute to women

From the minute of birth

My mind does not recollect my first day on the earth how hard I try. But from the experiences I saw and from encyclopaedias of motherhood, I understand what my mother went through on that day. I respect all the mothers for their strong will to endure the physical labour.

The one who caught my awe when I was 5

My grand ma who stopped her education after third class was my first mathematics teacher. An illiterate by modern norms, she taught applied maths with such an ease that mathematics became my favourite subject. The straight forwardness and the patience with which she handled hundreds of guests every fortnight was an epitome of patience.

Most valuable lesson of my life

My senior at college, once discussed with me about her hobbies and friends. While she spoke about her, I learnt something which is her trait. Throughout our discussion, she never spoke ill of anyone. And the last sentence she spoke struck me. “No one is perfect, No one is imperfect. Everyone has positives and negatives”.

Lastly

Around me, I see many women striving hard for their family. I am inspired by their hard work to excel in life, their determination to support the family, despite the choices-work/home posed to them every minute.
